Superman - A History of the Game

By Rahul D. Gupta

The first ever Superman game to be developed was produced by Atari in 1979 and was called..."SUPERMAN". Though the game neither boasted of quality graphics nor engaging gameplay it still sold thousands of copies simply because fans couldn't resist the chance of playing as their favourite superhero. Most Superman games that released in the following years followed more or less the same storyline. In its arcade version it was only "Death and Life of Superman" developed by Sunsoft of America and Blizzard Entertainment which was truly worth playing.

However, the predictable and linear gameplay changed with the release of Superman: Shadow of Apokolips for PlayStation 2. Perhaps for the first time gamers got to play a Superman who had to use his brains as much as his brawn. It was a game that involved stealth and puzzles in addition to action. In Shadow of Apokolips, Superman took on several arch villains like Metallo, Livewire and Parasite. Superman: Man of Steel developed primarily for the Xbox platform too was another exciting game to play.

The most recent addition to the Sumerman videogames is Superman Returns, which weas released in 2006. Developed by EA Tiburon and published by Electronic Arts the game can be played on a variety of Platforms like Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and Nintendo. Superman Returns is loosely on the plot of the movie by the same name. In the game Superman battles Mongul and other classic villains like Metallo. The players also get to play as Bizzrro in one of the several mini-games which are a part of the main game. Though the game was developed for Xbox360 and the next generation of handheld platforms, a PSP version couldn't be developed as the console didn't have enough juice to support the game.

In the game Superman has the liberty to explore a fictional city of more than 80 sq. mile and can also fly into the stratosphere. Though Superman complete array of superpowers are at the disposal of the players, he is required to first master powers because if used incorrectly, Superman might inadvertently end up harming the city or it inhabitants. In the game players are encouraged to be creative in the way they use Superman's powers. For example in order to save building that's burning Superman can either use freeze breath, which might mean he's not left with enough time to save the civilians or he can lift a fire truck at place it on top of a building for swifter extinguishing effects while he's left with enough time to rescue to all the inhabitants from the building. In this game no matter what happens to Superman, he can't be killed. But if in any mission the city of Metropolis suffers from too much damage, too many buildings are destroyed and or too many innocent lives lost; the game ends.

So if you are a Superman fan then you won't better game than this one to play as your favourite superhero.

Star Trek - A History of the Game

By Rahul D. Gupta

Of all hit comic books, television shows and movies there is none more suited for adaptation as a video game than the Star Trek series. With its well developed characters, a very realistic sci-fi setting and millions and billions of starry eyed fans it's no wonder that copies just seem to disappear of the shelves the second any Start Trek games hits the market. The first Star Trek Episode was aired in the year 1966 and stayed right on top of the charts for more than three years. By the time the last episode of the original Star Trek was aired in 1969, this futuristic concept screamed of being developed for a more interactive medium - namely video games, where fans could participate directly in the revolution.

The first Star Trek Game was created by an unknown team of coders in 1975. For those who were fond of combat aspect of Star Trek, the game proved to be really addictive and was surprisingly quite advanced for the time it was made. The basic plot of game was short and to the point. For reasons not mention the peace treaty between the Klingon Empire and the Federation has collapsed, and you as the commander of the USS Enterprise, have to use all your resources, to destroy the Klingon Armada, which they have sent to into the Federation territory. It hardly needs to be mentioned that the interface was wholly text based you had to type in your instructions and the results of your decisions were typed back to you.

Once personal computers became commonplace, a number of games were Star Trek based games were created. But gamers got their first real dose of the Star Trek Series with the release of Star Trek: 25th Anniversary. Developed by Interplay the game was a graphical adventure that set really high standards for all future Star Trek games. Like each Star Trek Episode is a self contained drama, the game too had a number of mini-missions, which the player was supposed to complete. After the end of each mission the player got an evaluation report that analyzed his overall performance.

Another great game was Star Trek: Klingon, which was hailed by the critics as the "ultimate interactive adventure". In the game the player takes up the Persona of Pok, a young Klingonian who has to avenge the death of his father. Its one of the most interesting Star Trek games you will ever come across.

Another Star Trek Game which followed a similar plot structure was Star Trek: Borg. In this game you play the role of a Starfleet recruit, who is sent back in time by Q, to save the life of his father who was killed by Borg. A fast passed adventure game, Star Trek: Borg is all about making split second decisions.

The other interesting Star Trek titles that you should definitely play are Star Trek: Armada and Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force. Both of them have been created by Raven Software, so you can be sure that you won't be disappointed.

SpongeBob - A History of the Game

By Rahul D. Gupta

Before the game came the show: SpongeBob was created by cartoonist/marine biologist Stephen Hillenburg who loved both his careers. Hillenberg started working on SpongeBob in 1993 when the hit animated series Rocko's Modern life was cancelled. SpongeBob was an instant hit, and was loved by kids and adults alike due to its cross cultural references and clever word play. The cartoon was in fact so popular that in 2002, fans were devastated when there were rumors that show would be cancelled, and collected and sent thousands of petitions to Nickelodeon appealing them not to cancel the show.

When a show, especially an animated one becomes such a big hit it's usually turned into game and that is exactly what happened in SponeBob's case. SpongeBob games have been released in a variety of game gaming platforms. Though there are numerous titles that have been released including some that have been designed by fans (can be downloaded free of cost), there are few SpongeBob games that really very good.

Well for all fans of SpongeBob, SpongeBob SquarePants: SuperSponge gives you an opportunity go beyond watching SpongBob and become one yourself. In this game SpongeBob is sent on various missions by his two favourite superheroes Barnacle Boy and MermaidMan. Smooth graphics and easy controls makes this game a must play.

Another all time favourite of mine is The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie Game. Developed by THQ,The game can played on a variety of platforms like PS2, Game Boy Advance, Xbox and Nintendo Game Cube. The basic plot of the game is very similar to that of the film. Plankton has stolen king Neptune's crown and SpongeBob teams up with Patrick to bring it back. There are eighteen levels in the game which keeps the player happily engaged for several weeks. However, the PC version of the game has a lightly different game play and fewer levels.

Developed by Blitz Games and Arlton SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis, is based on television series. This SpongeBoy game can be played on platforms like Game Boy Advance, PS2 and Nintendo DS. It can also be downloaded and played on your mobile. The game plot goes somewhat like this. The missing half of the Atlantean Amulet is discovered by SpongeBob and Patrick. When shown to Squidward, he believes it to be a part of the original amulet, which is still in display in the Bikini Bottom museum. Of course, the Amulet has magical powers and when joined opens a magial pathway to the ancient city of Atlantis. What happens there? Play the game and find out for yourself.

The Other three games that any fan of SpongeBob must get his hands on are SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, SongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab and SongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants.

Resident Evil - A History of the Game

By Rahul D. Gupta

The feeling of making a zombie's head explode with a well aimed blast from a shot gun is worth a million bucks - and gamers know that no game in the market provides this experience quite as well as Resident Evil. Resident Evil also known as Biohazard in Japan has been developed by Capcom. The game essentially belongs to the survival horror video game genre, and was originally released for the Sony PlayStation in 1996 and was later launched for PC and the Sega Saturn console.

A remake of the game was launched in 2002 for the Nintendo Game Cube console. The featured several significant gameplay changes, had better voice acting and improved graphics. In early 2006, Resident Evil: Deadly Silence, a Nintendo DS port of the original game was released.

The original Resident Evil game opens up the in fictional Racoon City, where a number of mysterious and grizzly murders have taken place. A group of unknown assailants have been attacking people in their homes, and as proved by the investigation indulging in cannibalism as well...

S.T.A.R. first assigns the Bravo team to assist the local authorities, but they soon disappear without a trace. Then the Alpha team is sent to continue the investigation and they soon find themselves trapped in an abandoned mansion. It is at this point that the player takes control of the character and the game begins. As one his first of many horrific discoveries, the player finds one of Bravo team members Kenneth Sullivan, being eaten by a Zombie. The character eventually realizes the mansion far from being abandoned is actually a death trap riddled with traps, puzzles and of course ugly zombies. To complete the game the Player has to kill anything that moves.

Most of the Resident Evil secrets were good, but they were much too similar to each other to live up their prerelease hype. However, all this has changed with Resident Evil 4. The story too is more interesting than its predecessors. The president's daughter has been kidnapped by a religious cult and the player, playing as special agent Leon Kennedy has to rescue her from a mysterious hamlet located somewhere in Europe.

Resident Evil 4 has been designed so perfectly that even those who didn't flinch while watching Stephen Kings Kujo, will get serious case of willies while playing the game. Capcom this time around have paid perfectionist attention to the animation and graphics, and the background music is so creepy, that its controls the emotions of the players like puppet on string. So brace your heart while playing Resident Evil 4.

Resident Evil 4,is without a shadow of a doubt one of scariest games to have ever been created. Action never gets stale and A.I is so smart that any false move on your part might end up making you the Zombies next snack. If you haven't played this one already, then are missing a great treat.

Have You Heard of the Sega Bass Fishing Game?

By Mike Selvon

Bass fishing games are nothing new to the arcade game market. Sega Bass Fishing has long been regarded as one of the best. Originating in the 1990s, millions of people have played the game. The makers of the Nintendo Wii have come up with a new version that is now considered one of the best bass tournament games that money can buy. Many players find that it is so realistic it conjures up fishing memories from their childhood.

The bass fishing game for the Nintendo Wii is rated E for everyone, and has several different modes, including arcade, practice, tournament and nature modes. Practice mode helps improve the player's skill at the game, which will better prepare the player for tournament mode. Bass tournament mode allows the player to fish in ten different bodies of water, and allows the player to compete in such a competition.

Arcade mode is basically an original version of the game. Nature mode allows the player to casually fish in a body of water, without a time limit or any other restrictions. Whatever mode of play you choose, this game can be quite fun and offers several hours of fishing "play." The different modes of play add to the charm of the game and will keep you from becoming bored.

Sega Bass Fishing is an easy game to learn and it is fun. The controls are quite simple. You just fling the Wiimote to cast the line. After your lure is in the water you can work it by wiggling the Wiimote. Reeling the line in is simple with some easy motions with the nunchuk.

You can accumulate different types of fishing tackle by catching fish. Once a fish is hooked on your line, you can successfully reel it in by watching the tension of the line with a gauge that is on your television screen. A fish stands a good chance of getting away if you are not careful and your line breaks.

If you have a Nintendo Wii, then you must think about purchasing the Sega Bass Fishing game. It is a much more advanced version of the older games. The graphics are much better than the older versions as well, and the ambiance is great.

While there is no plot to it, the game is still very fun. Playing the Wii version of this game will surely help you to remember the fishing games that used to be in the arcades.

Why Am I Always Tired? 4 Common Causes and the Solutions to Beat Exhaustion

By M.C. Makr

Why am I always tired? This is a common complaint and one that does not have any single answer. In reality there are a number of reasons you could feel tired and sluggish. Read on to learn about common reasons for why a person feels constant exhaustion or fatigue.

While constant exhaustion is linked to some health problems, the cause is more often found in your habits, routines and nutrition. The good news is that it is easy to modify your lifestyle to encourage more energy and less tiredness.

Here are several common reasons why healthy people feel fatigued...

* Too Much Sleep - Believe it or not, more sleep won't make you less tired. Quite the opposite.

Sleeping too much and not getting enough activity in your daily life in general can lead to exhaustion and fatigue. Eight hours a day of sleep is adequate for your average adult.

Sleep cycles also play an important role in whether you wake up feeling refreshed or still tired. An average sleep cycle lasts four hours. Waking up in the middle of your sleep cycle as opposed to the end will have you feeling sluggish. Timing your bedtime to ensure that you are finishing your sleep cycle when you awake can help you wake up refreshed.

* Poor Diet and Nutrition - Some vitamin and mineral deficiencies can contribute to exhaustion as will a poor overall diet.

A lack of iron for example can lead to anemia which causes extreme exhaustion and malaise. Eating a diet high in fats and sugary foods is another common way that people cause themselves to feel always tired. On the flipside, not eating enough and skipping meals is a sure ticket for exhaustion as well.

A healthy diet that incorporates all of the food groups and uses healthy low fat cooking methods is a good way to ensure that you eat for maximum energy. Plus adding a vitamin and mineral suppliment will make sure that you aren't missing any crucial nutrients in your diet.

* Too Much Caffeine - More is not better when it comes to caffeine. Caffeine is best limited if not avoided altogether if you are feeling always tired. Caffeine increases your heart rate to make you feel alert but when it wears off, the exhaustion is only amplified.

While coffees and energy drinks are popular ways to get more energy, they are actually working against you. Worse, they are addictive. Switching to a caffeine free diet will take adjustment, but doing without the caffeine will make you feel better in the long run, plus it's much healthier on your body.

* Sedentary Lifestyle - Do you work in an office or spend the majority of your day at a desk. A sedentary lifestyle can contribute to feeling tired.

Lack of exercise and activity causes your body to run in slow motion, not just while your working but all the time! The solution is to make sure that you pep up your step by slipping in short bursts of exercise whenever possible. Lunch hour? Take a brisk walk or jog around the parking lot. Before and after work if you can make time to fit in just 10 - 15 minutes of vigorous activity, you will be helping to increase your overall energy levels.

These are just a few reasons why ordinary healthy people feel drained and tired all the time. If you are concerned that you may have a more serious condition you should talk to your doctor about the problem. For most people, making subtle changes to their diet and routine can pay off big time in the form of having more energy and feeling better all around.

Viva Pinata - Trouble in Paradise

By Kristen Barghout

As usual, I spent my hard earned wages on video games that came out this Friday, those games being Infinite Undiscovery, and the long awaited (by me at least) sequel to Viva Pinata - Trouble in Paradise.

Now, as much as I would love to tell you that I have played Infinite Undiscover, I actually found myself playing Viva Pinata until the early morning, and never really got to touch the recent Square-Enix release.

As always, I endeavour to give you an honest opinion of the game, and that is that this game is just as fantastic as its predecessor. All the original Pinatas are there for us to coo over and admire, and now there are tons of other Pinatas for you to love and care for. My personal favourite of the new breed of Pinatas is the Jeli. It is a huge Yeti that can be found in the Snow area of the game.

Which brings me onto another subject. There are two areas where you can capture Pinatas for your garden, the Pentarctic and the Dessert Desert. Here you can find multiple new breeds (and old) of Pinatas that you can capture using traps and baits. Much like Pokeballs in Pokemon, these traps are not always successful, but it is a nice little quirk to the game.

There are also more Ruffians and Sour pinatas ready to wreck your garden. In fact, there are so many new things in the game that they could have just released the game with all the new things and I would have been satisfied. There are new plants, items, pinatas, ruffians and sour pinatas, that the game keeps its game playing ability for HOURS!

However, as with every game there are so flaws. For example, it is ridiculously difficult to get the new rare Chocolodocus...in fact, the only reason I know how to get it is because I was sad enough to buy the walk through guide to the game...but that is beside the point.

Also, and I am unsure if this is a fault with my game, or if it is a general fault with all of them, but for the 30 hours that I have been playing the game (in total...not in one sitting) the weather has done nothing but rain, that is, the in-game weather...although weather in the UK has been similar from the past...year. See, its not so much an issue as it means I don't have to water all the plants, however, my Pinata keep getting depressed by the terrible weather...and nothing tugs at your heart strings than watching a Redhot cry with tears falling from its eyes.

I know I am sad, but I really love this game. It looks like a child's game, but I can assure you that this game appeals to people of all ages. All my friends (aged between 22-30) play this game and love it so if you are looking for something new, don't be put off by the game's girly appearance, it is a brilliant play, and the fun lasts for many hours!

F-Zero - Nintendo's Best But Least Known Series

By Kevin Dowlatshahi

F-Zero is one of Nintendo's most prominent series. Its games are on nearly every Nintendo console known. The SNES, N64, GBA, Nintendo DS all have been graced with the appearance of an F-Zero game. However, F-Zero is one of the most underrated and ignored game series on the Nintendo. F-Zero is a futuristic racing series that takes place in the late 21st century.

Each race consists of around 30 racers each competing for the goal. However, unlike most racing games, F-Zero does not have any items or special features. It is just plain racing. High speeds of over 2000 miles per hour are not common and killing many racers to get ahead is the norm. In this series, racers compete in a variety of courses such as Port Town, Big Blue, Mute City, White Land and Red Canyon. The main character in the series is Captain Falcon.

He is a bounty hunter who rides the fast and powerful Blue Falcon. However, the series has quite a story line such as defeating evil enemies such as the Black Shadow, Zoda and Blood Falcon. In F-Zero GX a story mode was added that allowed gamers to compete in a variety of courses with intended goals. Also, in F-Zero GX, gamers can build and optimize cars with custom parts that can be bought at a shot. With all of these features, one would have to ask why this series is so underrated and little known. This answer to me is still a mystery. It is a great series and remains as one of Nintendo's best series.

F-Zero GX - Nintendo's Best Racing Title For Gamecube

By Kevin Dowlatshahi

F-Zero GX is one of Nintendo's best racers. Not only did it come from the sacred lineage of the F-Zero series, but it introduced a whole new slew of features. F-Zero GX was not the best selling game on the console by any means but it should be up there as one of the best games in all of Nintendo history.

F-Zero GX hit North American shelves on August 25, 2003. Although the title was given a lot of hub, it didn't sell all that well. The reviews were average and not many people saw a reason to get it. However, when one actually plays the game it masks all of those things. The game consists of a variety of modes.

It has the prominent Grand Prix mode. It has over 5 cups with around 6 courses per cup. There are around 5 modes one can play on for any level the gamer is. Also, the game comes packed in with the Story Mode. This feature was never before seen in the F-Zero world. It had nearly 10 missions with 3 difficulties. Although the story mode can be overly challenging at times, it is very fun. Next, the most prominent feature is the game's customizable parts mode. In this mode, gamers can build cars with parts they can buy at the store.

One can earn money by racing and completing story mode missions. Cars can be customized with many parts and can be fit for the individuals style of racing. All in all, F-Zero GX is a fantastic game and deserves more attention then it got. If you haven't already, pick up a copy of this game now.

Warcraft Millionaire - Review

By Jay Brunswick

World Of Warcraft has been out for 4 years now and a lot has changed since then. One of the most important things in game is definitely gold farming and it has changed dramatically. It wasn't easy back then. Although things have gotten a bit better, grinding for gold still is a pain for any casual player, even the pros. This is where Warcraft Millionaire jumps in. A gold guide that exposes a blueprint to one million gold for you. Why such a name? Well, the author of the guide was the first person in the history of WoW that has acquired one million gold, maybe even more at the time of this writing. Check out what Warcraft Millionaire has to offer.

Warcraft Millionaire Review: What Is So Special About It?

It's the focus of the guide that makes it different from others. Warcraft millionaire addresses all problems regarding gold farming. No matter what type of player are you, the guide will have a solution. You can learn everything you need in order to be successful in this area. What I appreciate the most is that the actual time I normally spend for gold making has lowered dramatically since I started using Warcraft Millionaire. It's not just about techniques, hints and pointers, it's about the approach. It will reveal how you should be dealing with various gold farming techniques. Not all of them are the same.

Warcraft Millionaire also takes care of the low levels where we usually don't think about gold making yet and it's wrong! Every player should start early. If you think that it will slow your leveling, you are wrong. The guide carefully applies gold making techniques into the leveling faze so that it doesn't interfere with it too much. Leveling can be smooth as before even if you make gold along the way.

Another fantastic part of the Warcraft Millionaire guide is the Auction House Domination. I like auction house and so do many players, simply because it can make you rich without spending too much time on grinding. This guide shows you how to deal with buying and selling in AH. You can waste a lot of gold if not careful, the in-game WoW market is very volatile and Warcraft Millionaire helps you understand it to the smallest detail.

The main feature that makes Warcraft Millionaire a very valuable guide is the updates. World Of Warcraft is repeatedly changing. The only way you can keep up with the standards is through updates. The guide gets updated whenever there is a need and at new expansion releases you will be a part of a new release of the guide, so there is absolutely no need to buy a new one. Also there is a private members area where you can download the guide and its new additions.

If you are interested in finding out more about Warcraft Millionaire: The Blueprint to One Million Gold, they have written a more in-depth Warcraft Millionaire review here, also accompanied with inside screenshots.

Gamefly - Best Video Game Rental Comapny Ever?

By Coty J. Schwabe

Gamefly is the industry leader in online video game rentals. While there are a few other sites or companies that you can rent games from, Game fly seems to be the place that avid gamers flock to in order to get their games. But what is Gamefly and why are they so great? And how can someone get started?

Gamefly was established a few years ago, right after the time that Netflix, the online video rental giant, started booming. The CEO of GF, for short, realized that if it could be done with movies, it could be done with games. And thus GF was born.

But that doesn't explain why most users choose Game fly over any other place to rent video games from. There are actually many reasons to choose GF.

First off, they have the largest selection of games available. Most users find exactly what they want from new releases to classic arcade type games.

Secondly, they are always updated with the newest and freshest games. As soon as the biggest games hit the market, GameFly is there to start renting those copies out. Perfect for people who want to enjoy new games, without the hefty price tag.

Also, their prompt service. As soon as you send back a game, the user can expect to see the next game in their list (or "que") in as little as a few days. Perfect for those games that "just can't wait for the next game."

Overall, Gamefly's service is second to none, thus making them the favorite, as well as the biggest name in video game rental companies.

Bass Fishing Pro - A Review of the Popular Fishing Game

By Christian Rogers

Welcome to the first in our series of online fishing game reviews. We will review several free fishing games you can play online, so you know which games to play and which games to avoid. We recently had the opportunity to try the online fishing game, Bass Fishing Pro. The first thing we noticed about this game is that it loads very quickly. Many of the other fishing games we've played do not load nearly as fast, so it was off to a good start in our book. The main objective of this game is to catch the required number of bass within the given time frame. You will receive money for each fish you catch, and this will be displayed at the top of the screen. After each round, you will also receive money bonuses for the remaining time. Catching these fish is more difficult than it sounds, mind you; because you need to make sure you don't run out of fuel, and the fish aren't that easy to catch.

The controls for this bass fishing game are extremely simple. Use the right and left arrow keys to control your boat movement, and the down arrow to control your fishing line. Unfortunately you can only move the line down in the early rounds of the game. You will need to upgrade rods at some point to be able to move the line up and down.

We found the trick to this game is getting the hook directly in front of the fish in order to make the catch. Sounds like real fishing doesn't it? Move your boat across the lake and hold the DOWN arrow to get your hook near the fish. After the fish takes the bait, the fisherman will automatically reel the bass in. Do this enough times before the clock runs out and you make it to the next level. We only played long enough to make it through 3 levels, but the best part is after you complete each round, you can visit the tackle shop, where you can purchase more fuel, upgrade fishing rods and boat engines. Unfortunately the cost of these upgrades runs in the thousands, so you'll be bass fishing for a while before you can afford those luxuries.

Overall we enjoyed Bass Fishing Pro. The graphics are decent and the interface is very easy to use. It's not exactly like being on the lake, but if you have a few minutes to kill at work, you'll have a fun time trying to catch a few fish and make it to the higher rounds.

Slingo Quest Hawaii Review

By Chris Campbell

Graphics: 3 Stars :Average: The graphics for Slingo Quest Hawaii, are on par with the current casual gaming fare. Cutesy pictures of anime type boys and girls dressed in stereotypical Hawaiian garb. The setting is mostly tropical (hence the Hawaii tie in), so it's a little more fun to play on a cold winters day.

Interface: 4 Stars :Good: The game interface is certainly adequate for the task at hand. This is pretty much a very simple game to play, and the designers know their demographic is not the hard core gamer crowd. Basically, if you can point and click you'll have no problem playing the game and navigating around the menus.

Gameplay 3 Stars :Average: This is another variant on the tried and true Slingo, so everyone knows, the game play works. When I say it works, I mean it's both fun and addictive to the right person. Slingo has been around for over ten years, so it will be engaging for anyone who enjoys simple bingo / slots style of gaming

Sound FX: 2 Stars :Below Average: I was a little disappointed with both the music and sound FX here. While Quest Hawaii, is an obvious rehashing of a tried and true game, with a new shiny coat of paint, I would have hoped the designers would have allocated a little more budget to sounds. I'm quite sure many of the sounds I heard were the same old sounds from Slingo Deluxe, and Slingo Quest (the original quest).

Music: 2 Stars :Below Average: As I alluded to in the Sound FX category, the music here is pretty forgettable. I strongly suggest putting your iPod on speakers mode, and turning down the sound FX to a minimum. At least the designers had the common sense to separate out the two options so "iPod mode" was a player option.

Intelligence: 3 Stars :Average: Well, this is just a shinier, prettier version of Slingo Quest, and we all know what that means. The intelligence of your enemies is about the same as it was 10 years ago, when the game first came out. The Slingo aficionados in the crowd won't mind as it's what they expect.

Difficulty: 3 Stars :Average: It's as difficult, as you want it to be. For the true addicts in the crown, the real difficulty will be walking away from the game. Slingo has its appeal, and it's fan base, and you know who you are. For the rest of us, it's not really that difficult to beat, but it does feel a little random. Not to impose new generation values on an older game, but the difficulty doesn't always seem to coincide with the skill of the player.

Overall: 3 Stars "Average: There should probably be two overall ratings here. A five star rating for the Slingo-Fan-Boys-&-Girls in the audience, and a three star review for the rest of us. I went for an official 3 star rating, as that's how Slingo compares to the majority of games on the market today. Given the plethora of free Slingo demos around, it won't cost you anything besides about 15 minutes of your time, and a little download bandwidth, to find out if Slingo Quest Hawaii is the game for you.

X Box 360 "Ninja Gaiden II" Review

By Camilla Bertelsen

This video game is a beautifully designed, graphically alluring, and completely not the kind of game you want your eight year old to play. But if you are looking for the ultimate fighting demons and monsters type of video game, X Box 360 has one just for you.

The features in this very realistic battle to the death video game are enhanced to the point that you won't believe your eyes. The blood looks incredibly real, even if you are playing very close to the screen.

If you are familiar with the original "Ninja Gaiden" you will find the "Ninja Gaiden II" has some dramatic new changes such as bigger areas to fight in, more opponents to fight and enlarged the size of opponents. There are also new weapons to choose from which you can upgrade as you move forward through the video game. X Box 360 has done a bang up job improving on what was already a great game. They have kept the aspect of magic but there is no more importance in making better monsters or demons than solving puzzles and such.

This video game does include a story line but the best part of the game is the fighting and killing of the beasts and the friends that go along with them. The weapons of choice are the swords and the ability to upgrade your sword enables you to kill bigger and more dangerous monsters. Only certain swords will kill certain monsters, so the levels you complete, the better your sword is, the better chance you have to make it through this addictive video game.

The original "Ninja Gaiden" in my opinion, was a bit more challenging than what X Box 360 created with this second edition. However, that could simply be because I am accustomed to the first game and thus the second one seemed a bit easier, although still quite challenging and entertaining. Newcomers to the video game might not think so, as they have not had the experience from the first edition; either way, this video game is well worth the time and energy you put into it and I recommend it if you are looking to kick some serious monster butt.

Azada - Ancient Magic Game Review

By Brock Braddock

Big Fish Studios has brought back the magical land of Azada for puzzle-loving video gamers with a bent for fantasy and magical stuff. In Azada: Ancient Magic, hapless, young and formerly magical book-trapped magician Titus calls upon your amazing puzzle solving powers to help him with a magical dilemma once again.

In Azada: Ancient Magic, Titus is too afraid to enter the library and thus calls upon your courageous self to disarm the magical menace that plagues him this time. And fortunately for you, Titus has given you a magic medallion with which you can call upon him when you have need. In Azada: Ancient Magic, you can enter the lives of storybook characters in over 20 magic puzzle books. King Arthur, Rapunzel, Henry Jekyll, Buffalo Bill, and many more legends come alive for you as you attempt to uncover and put together the clues.

Many players of the award-winning Azada have been looking forward to this release for a while. However, reactions to the new game are mixed. Some players are finding the new game to be all too easy and too quick to be completed, whereas Azada could really be a mind-bender (and therefore make the game last longer and, thus, extend the fun). Azada: Ancient Magic is a lot about finding the right puzzle pieces and placing them in the right place, whereas the original Azada was about solving puzzles so that you could move through the book pages to free Titus.

On the other hand, other gamers who have downloaded the new game have been challenged by such things as the encrypted message, how to use the Secret Garden Book, how to guide the Tin Man through the World of Oz maze (hint: you gotta use a magnet!), and even finding the wood to put on the fireplace. There seem to be as many players of the new game who are excited and challenged by the new game as there are those who finding it to be mere child's play. Indeed, there are some players of the new game who feel it is better than the original Azada precisely because it is less frustrating.

Some people who have bought the new game are also finding it difficult to download, and grow frustrated as the game's downloading gets interrupted, often causing them to have to start the process over again. However, this may have more to do with problems inherent in Windows Vista or XP than it does with the game software. And most people don't seem to be having that problem with downloading, which one would think would be there much more frequently if it were a flaw on Big Fish's end.
