Call of Duty 4 is the fourth game in the series of Call of duty games. The game is developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. It is a first Person shooter (FPS) game released in November, 2007 throughout the parts of the world. Even though it is centered around warfare but it is also the first not to be revolved around World War II.
Call of duty 4: Modern Warfare is available for Windows PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. It is available in both single player and multiplayer modes and is also available for play over LAN/Internet, Xbox Live, and PlayStation Network etc. To play the game requires very high graphics/video card like NVIDIA Geforce 7800 or better or ATI Radeon X1800 or better.
There are many completely new game play styles in Call of Duty 4 not present in previous games of the series. Player is also offered various cameo-style missions where he can play the role of different soldiers. As compared to series previous games, Call of Duty 4 has many new and advanced weapons and modern technology such as grenade launcher, Target Pointers, night vision goggles etc.
Imperative feature of the game is that as the player advances, more and advanced weapons are unlocked for his use. Multiplayer mode of the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is based on the class system. It has five default classes with pre-loaded weapons and perks and also allows players to build their own custom classes with customize weapons and perks. This customization and unlocking of weapons is dependent on the higher rankings achieved by players.
There is also a team death match in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare where your playing character can kill opposite players by uniting a team. Many other intelligent features are also included in the game. A single-player demo was released for PC that could be downloaded from Yahoo! Website only. Many game magazines, websites, critic have given highly positive reviews of the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
