Flying down the highway as fast as possible is a dream only some of us, most likely with a consequence have experienced. Atomic Racer grants you that wish with rockets and explosions to boot, of course without the tickets.You hop in your pseudo street racer car and fly down the freeway guns blazing. Your one and only objective is to get to the nuclear transport before it reaches its destination and blow it up. Since the transports are humongous they're easy to spot on top of the fact you have an indicator for them. Just in case you're going a little too fast. The biggest and only danger is running into other cars while in the process.
Overall
Atomic Racer is very entertaining for an atomically small while. You only have one primary objective which is to blow up the nuclear transport. That's fine but you have all day to do it, as the transports don't have an actual destination and don't blow up prematurely. This can get repetitive faster than the actual game is. If the devs would have added a little more....ok a lot more, atomic racer would be a must play title. Gameplay is entirely solid just not realized to its full potential. The game itself looks ok, the explosions that happen here and there leave you with a little something but not enough. For the 30 seconds Atomic Racer leaves you entertained, I know something else I can do in the same time with a little more pay off.
